Summary: A Florida resident opposes the issuance of permits for genetically engineered mosquitoes, expressing concern over the state becoming a testing ground. The commenter suggests that the EPA should instead focus on breeding predatory insects and reducing the use of toxic chemicals in public areas.
As a resident of Florida, I do not want the state to be a testing ground for genetically engineered mosquitoes. If the EPA is truly worried about reducing mosquito populations, then they should invest in dragonfly and other predatory insect breeding. Better yet reduce the spraying of toxic chemicals public areas which kill off mosquitoes natural predators. With the American people do not consent to being a testing ground for toxic hybrid mosquitoes.
