Unremediated coal ash pits have harmed ground water in my area and contaminated town water supplies. My children attended a school whose ground water was declared unsafe after years of children drinking such water. NIPSCO has unsealed coal ash pits scheduled to be remediation before the current administration slowed the effort. These pits are adjacent to Lake Michigan where they could be leaching into waters that are the source of municipal drinking water. Even plans to close inefficient and costly generating plants have been stymied by the current administration.
Please do what you can to alleviate this situation.
