I am a senior physician, a Reproductive Endocrinologist in practice for 36 years. The data are overwhelming that high surface ozone levels and particulate matter, especially PM 2.5 are associated with diminishing fertility success. These findings are both in natural fertility and assisted reproduction. It is extremely important that we NOT delay implementation of these standards which will extend exposures for millions of US residents and potentially reduce their overall fertility as well as pregnancy outcomes.
