Summary: A private individual opposes the proposed rule to begin construction before air quality impacts are proven. They argue that existing EPA regulations are necessary to protect air quality and that the proposed change lacks valid reasoning.
I’m writing to add my voice to the many others that that think it’s a terrible idea to allow construction BEFORE projects prove that they will not have an effect on air quality. I don’t know why the EPA would change it and I’ve not heard any valid reasons. These rules and regulations are in place at the EPA to protect our air quality. I disapprove of any changes that allow constriction to begin before proving what the impact on air quality will be.
