Comment submitted by Ozone Transport Commission (OTC)

AnonymousOpposeAdvocacy
Summary: The Ozone Transport Commission (OTC) opposes the proposed rule because it would allow states to delay the implementation of legally required clean air programs and emissions reductions by pushing deadlines to more stringent classifications. They argue that these delays will jeopardize public health, create inequities between states, and result in prolonged exposure to unhealthy ozone levels for residents in nonattainment areas.
The Ozone Transport Commission is submitting the attached comments in response to EPA’s proposed Ozone Reclassification State Implementation Plan Rule.
