Summary: An individual commenter supports the rescission of the International Education Programs Regulations, arguing that the Fulbright program is a waste of taxpayer money. They suggest that funds would be better spent on veterans and law enforcement.
Anyone that has been paying attention had noticed that the recent Soccer World Cup has done more to promote America than 50 years (at $80 mil A YEAR) of Fulbright. We should not be sending artists to the north of Norway to take pictures of the Aurora, or wet nosed Gen Z punks to convince Belgians that all Americans eat hot dogs and carry guns. (all listed on the Fulbright site) Consequently, my taxes can be better spent on veterans or cops. The secretary should move ahead with ending this waste of my taxes!
