As a U.S. passport holder, I support the Department of State's effort to improve efficiency and reduce waste by moving to a single-sized passport book. However, I encourage the Department to consider the impact on frequent international travelers, U.S. citizens living abroad, and individuals who frequently require visas. While a 38-page passport may be sufficient for most travelers, those who travel extensively may face more frequent renewals and additional costs. I support the proposal overall but encourage the Department to continue improving online passport renewal services to reduce any burden on travelers who may need to renew more often.
