This is a sensible move. More countries are abolishing passport stamps, and most people don't ever fill up their passports. For those who do, rather than manufacturing a larger passport book, the DoS could perhaps consider offering a renewal discount for people who have to renew early due to a full passport.
I would love to see the redesign use a more traditional color scheme for the biodata page, and I hope it won't contain partisan propaganda.
