Let’s face the facts here:
The first 7 pages of the U.S. Passport are unusable because of biographical information, endorsements and notices.
For those of us that are frequent travelers or resident abroad, we know the hard reality of foreign immigration officers in certain countries that have strict requirements of a minimum of 2-4 concurrent blank pages for entry/exit. In certain cases, this is in addition to a full blank page for the sticker visa. Many times when frequent travelers run out of pages, they are required to renew their passport since there is no ability to add more pages anymore. This creates a situation where an individual has to carry multiple passports, especially if there are valid visas in the old passport. The 50 page booklet minimizes that need to an extent.
This is the reason the 50 page booklet needs to stay.
Tip: Why not just convert all booklets to the 50 page format to eliminate redundancy?
