Summary: The Converse County Board of Commissioners is requesting a 90-day extension of the comment period for the Regulatory Reform Request for Information (RFI). They argue that the scope of the RFI is monumental and requires more time to thoughtfully identify regulations that hinder energy production and economic activity in their region.
On behalf of the Converse County Board of Commissioners, we appreciate the opportunity to provide recommendations regarding the Regulatory Reform Request for Information (RFI). This issue is of the utmost importance to us and working with federal agencies and specifically the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management to pursue a balance between multiple use of public lands, continued energy leasing and development, protection of private property and the implementation of conservation is critical to the long-term health of our County and the State of Wyoming.
