CMS-1848-P — Proposed requirement that RPM/RTM services be furnished only by
clinical staff employed by the billing practice.” This will exclude pharmacy staff from providing this valuable service to patient populations. Taking the pharamcy staff who are responsible for patient care out of the picture will open up a healthcare gap leading to increased cost of hospitilization. Additionaly, the RPM program failed when it intialy launched due to doctors office staff not being able to handle the volume and load of work that is required to operate a meaningful program. This action will set the program back to the original problems faced when it failed the first time.
