Summary: The Louisiana Hospital Association, representing over 150 member hospitals and health systems, supports the proposal to extend prior authorization (PA) interoperability standards to drugs. They advocate for standardized electronic PA processes to reduce administrative burdens and clinician burnout, while requesting shorter decision timeframes and a delay in implementation to allow for adequate testing of new standards.
