The sea floor is contiguous to all the sea and the livelihoods, ecosystems and recreation area on the east coast. Virginia especially is a place that matters to me. My family has lived, worked, fished, boated and vacationed near there. If this sea floor mining goes through, this will negatively impact the web of life under water and release huge amounts of captured carbon into the atmosphere , intensifying carbon related complications in the atmosphere.
