Preserving wilderness character is a top priority for The Conservation Alliance and our business members from across the nation. Over the past decade, the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) 2012 Manual 6340, Management of Designated Wilderness Areas, has proven effective, serving the needs of the outdoor business community, gateway communities, and recreationists alike. Please see the attached letter for more detailed comments regarding wilderness stewardship and the BLM's current Manual 6340 - which is sufficient and has allowed gateway communities and businesses to thrive. Our community does not recommend any updates, clarifications, or other revisions at this time.
