Summary: The Uintah County Farm Bureau supports the proposed grazing rule changes, particularly the increased flexibility for permits and the ease of using Non-Use status. They suggest an additional modification to allow for the transfer of Non-Use status between different persons.
The proposed changes are good and the Uintah County Farm Bureau supports and appreciates the proposed changes. Flexibility for going on or coming off a permit is a good help in the practice of managing the changing range conditions. Our support also goes to the making it easier for a Ranch to use Non-Use when they need to but feel that it needs to be made so if a place is done using it that it can be transferred and used by another person. These changes are welcome and hope to be the start of making a change in how the management of our resources are delegated.
