Summary: The commenter, who holds a Master's degree in environmental policy and management, opposes the proposed grazing rule. They argue that the rule favors a few monetary interests at the expense of wildlife and the environment, and they urge the BLM to protect the land instead.
I have always admired the Bureau of Land Management for its ability to balance the needs of the land, wildlife and human concerns. All life depends on the land. And all people of the United States have benefitted from your previous management. BLM-2026-0001 is a reversal of that balance. Comments are supposed to be arguments backed by science and evidence, but you already are experts in the field. I can add nothing that you do not already know. This is an irreversible action if passed. it benefits a few monetarily and strips all of the other living creatures of their livelyhood. The USA has been gifted bountiful nature and it is poor stewardship to destroy it for a few entities. I have a Master’s degree in environmental policy and management. The work you do is vital. There would be great potential for an American Serengeti were the Great Plains allowed to repopulate. I hope you will decide against this defamation of the last of the natural bounty we were gifted. Those who would exploit the fragile remaining land would be stealing back that gift. I hope once again you will do the right thing and protect the land under your stewardship. Thank you
