Summary: The commenter expresses a desire for a balanced approach to public land management that includes conservation, grazing, and recreation. They urge the BLM to use sound science and maintain a variety of land uses rather than limiting grazing permits.
I encourage the Bureau of Land Management to maintain a balanced approach to managing our public lands. Please uphold strong standards for land and water health, ensure transparent public participation, and keep conservation as an equal part of the multiple-use mission alongside grazing and other uses.
I also urge the BLM to base decisions on sound science and the expertise of land management professionals, avoid unnecessarily limiting grazing permits to only production-oriented livestock, and continue supporting conservation, tribal buffalo restoration, recreation, and the many other public benefits that healthy public lands provide.
