This rule is a vast improvement to the current standards of disarming someone who has been “Adjudicated as a Mental Defective.” This rule must address the potential abuses by non-judges in the adjudication process by removing the ability of “boards, commissions, and other lawful authorities” to adjudicate an individual to ensure fair access to due process.
