Comment on FR Doc # 2026-09156

William SetliffOpposeIndividual
Summary: A veteran opposes the rule because they believe it will discourage veterans from seeking mental health care from the VA. The commenter expresses concern that the rule could lead to the arbitrary removal of firearms by VA counselors.
I'm a veteran myself, and the rule precludes any idea I might have to avail myself of any assistance from the VA in the future should I become depressed for something - like death of one of my children (by way of example). Some do-gooder counselor at the VA might arbitrarily decide to take away my guns - no sir. The effect of the rule ensures knowing veterans will NOT seek care they might otherwise need!
