Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed rule, arguing that it creates legal ambiguity for gun owners regarding whether certain firearms with stabilizing braces are legal. They express frustration with the ATF's inconsistent rulings and demand a clear, definitive determination on the legality of these products.
This new rule is as clear as MUD ! How is a gun owner supposed to know IF their particular weapon would fall into the NFA zone without a specific inspection by ATF ? And then, IF it does get inspected by ATF and falls into this NFA zone, it is a chargeable offense under NFA, so they can be charged with a felony offense for buying what they thought was a LEGAL PRODUCT ? YOU NEED TO HAVE A CLEAR RULING ON BRACES, one way or the other ! Either they are LEGAL, or not legal ! Samples were submitted to ATF and you initially ruled they were LEGAL , before changing your mind several times, cut the crap already...
