Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed revision to non-over-the-counter firearms transaction requirements, arguing that it will lead to gunstore closures and remove valuable local safety training and screening. They express concern that relying on the ATF for screening will increase mistakes and endanger communities.
Direct sales will cause most gunstores to close. Our communities would therefore loose a valuable source of ‘accurate’ information and safety training. Considering the tremendous tendency for ATF and its contract screeners to make mistakes and their lack of responsibility, the removal of the local dealer screening from the equation is a recipe for disaster, and an endangerment to our communities!! DO NOT CONSIDER THIS LUDICROUS IDEA ANY FURTHER!!
