Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed rule because they believe it allows for online gun sales without the oversight of local shop owners. They argue that the change will decrease public safety and harm small local businesses by favoring large online retailers.
Under this rule, no one ever has to say yes to a gun sale, which is a dangerous change. Right now, buying a gun at a local shop ensures a real person checks the buyer and stops bad sales. This proposal lets giant online stores ship guns to doors, which will kill small shops in my town. The new rules just wait for time to pass instead of requiring actual approval. This shift hurts our safety and kills local jobs just to save people a drive. Please strike these shipping rules from the final plan and keep the current in-person system that already works well for everyone.
