Summary: A small business owner in the firearms sales industry opposes the proposed policy, arguing it will increase straw purchases and liability. The commenter claims the rule will harm small businesses, endanger public safety, and lead to further restrictions on law-abiding firearm owners.
I am EXTREMLY concerned about STAW PURCHSE sales exploding. Putting the good people safety & lives of this country in danger. This is going to absolutely hurt the firearms community by creating a liability that will increase the amount of firearms into the hand of people whom can't or shouldn't have firearm's. Once the carnage is traced back to this policy it will only create a policy that restricts everyone left in the firearm's business. It's a LOSE / LOOSE policy that will only benefit an extremely small group of cooperate people at best. I have transfers daily here and charge $40 for that service. They will practically disappear if this policy is implemented. We have stopped straw purchases because of ID the person whom bought / paid for the firearm when comparing to the person whom is doing the paperwork. Keeping firearms out of prohibited persons hands. DEATH and all of the others like robbery , rape , assaults and so many other liabilities of dangerous people receiving firearms under this policy is insane! Small business owners & the community they serve will be harmed by this policy if implemented. Make the people whom want pass this policy personally responsible for the harm it creates then see how many would support it? Then it would be ZERRO if they had any sliver of common sense. I can't believe that anyone who has been in the firearm's sales / transfer business would even consider this to be safe to implement. We are being set up to add to the destruction of the 2nd Amendment.
