I also encourage ATF to continue reviewing country-based import restrictions to ensure they are still necessary. Firearms import decisions should reflect current law and legitimate national security concerns, not outdated restrictions based solely on where a firearm was made. No country, including Ukraine or Russia, should be permanently prohibited from lawful firearms imports simply because of its country of origin. Regulations should be updated as circumstances change rather than remaining in place long after the reasons for them have passed.
