This is a good rule change that will help importers and local gun dealers. As a manufacturer, one of the worst troubles I face when trying to build classic WWI or WWII firearms is the lack of barrels. Barrels do not change the character of a firearm. Any barrel can be used in a semi-automatic version of the firearm. Accordingly, the destruction of barrels (which is what this rule seeks to prevent), simply denied the creation of otherwise lawful firearms. I am in strong support of this rule change.
