I am in favor of allowing import of more parts. It will increase the supply of parts for both manufacturers of new products and owners of existing ones. It will allow more affordable parts for some common platforms while allowing manufacturers to bring more obscure things to market. It also helps current owners get replacement parts that may not otherwise be available.
