Summary: The commenter supports the proposed action to allow the interstate transport of NFA items like silencers and SBRs. They argue that individuals who have already passed background checks should not face additional regulatory hurdles when traveling for competitions or self-defense.
This is common sense. People who have already jumped through regulatory hoops/ background checks should be able to travel with their NFA items. If there is a competition shoot in another state, what good does it do for them to jump through additional hoops to bring their silencer or SBR to the event. In fact, if someone wants to travel to visit family and uses an SBR with a silencer for self defense, why shouldn’t they be able to bring their self defense implement?
Deregulation of this particular matter is in order. Thank you.
