This is exactly the type of redundant wastes of time and money that we should eliminate. If a shop shortens a Remington down to "SBS" length it's still a Remington shotgun and that same serial number still meets all marking requirements. Adding an additional manufacturer marking is a waste and potentially confusing in tracing guns used in crimes.
