The ATF, like the DOE and many other federal agencies must come up with some regulations to prove they are awake and on the job.or try to show they are needed. They are not needed. ATF for example, you must be 21 to buy a hand gun. I bought my first gun, a 20 gauge, single shot shotgun wen I was 16 in 1966.
OK, nuff said. It never went on a rampage with or without me. Still has not. I carry a handgun for personal and family protection.Have done so for many years. It has never gone on a rampage with or without me. I was on a city sidewalk and went past a cafe. A nut job female came out and raised hell with me because I passed within 15' of her young daughter. I asked if she was afraid that my gun would jump out of the holster and go inside to attack her daughter. She admitted that was not what she was concerned with. I asked what her concern was. She had no answer. Just an ignorant knee jerk reaction on her part.
On the tobacco issue, gotta be 16 or older to buy cigarettes or cigars.
On alcoholic beverages, gotta be 18 to buy beer, 21 to buy liquor.
Thats it. Done. Save us tax payers a ton of money. Shut them both down and any other such federal agencies.
On the DOE, nuff said, shut it down leave education to the States.
