If the FFL stores it permanently, then you have created a national gun registration, subject to abuse by the next administration hostile to owners of law abiding firearms. You know what we have, you can confiscate it if a law is passed like in California, New Jersey or New York limiting access to certain firearms. No. Absolutely not. And I’d be the first one to take this proposal to the Supreme Court to rule on the confiscatory nature affecting the 2nd Amendment.
