Summary: The commenter expresses a neutral stance, acknowledging both the potential benefits of electronic recordkeeping for storage and the significant security risks regarding hacking. They express concern that a data breach could lead to privacy issues for firearm purchasers and legal problems for the agency.
I can see both sides of how this can be good or bad. If it is all electronic, then it will make it easier to store this information. My only trepidation with this Proposed Rule is that this information can be hacked into and the information can fall into the wrong hands. If this information were to fall into unlicensed hands, it may cause a lot of problems, and the people purchasing the firearms will be up in arms because you weren't able to keep their information safe.
