Summary: The commenter opposes the revision to the Firearms Transaction Record, arguing that it facilitates the creation of a searchable database of private sales. They express concerns regarding privacy violations and believe the change sets a precedent for government overreach into private transactions.
I do not agree with making this change. It allows the storage of imaged documents for search. I know how Adobe works & while there isn't a search bar, there are other ways to make Adobe search the data base. I believe by making the 4473 available online for citizens to input information you are setting the stage to force private sales to have to input information and get approval for private sales. Which I find unconstitutional and a violation of our privacy. Also creating a bigger data base to search knowing who has what or sold what to who so you know who has what. Solidly against this rule change.
